Entry #1: Fitness

Welcome everyone! Today I'm sharing my two favorite activities to do in my free time: hiking and going to the gym. If you're ever feeling stressed or not thinking straight, you should try it out! Both of these activities have become important parts of my life because they help me stay active, clear my mind, and challenge myself physically and mentally.

When I hike, I get to take a moment to stop and appreciate the world around me. It gives me a chance to reconnect with nature and get away from my electronics. There's something so peaceful about walking along a quiet trail, breathing in the fresh air, and then finally getting to the top of the mountain to see the beautiful view. Thunderbird Conservation Park is my go-to since it's nearby but still has awesome views.

On the other hand, going to the gym is my everyday hobby and I go 5 times a week. I build discipline and consistency either lifting weights or doing cardio. I enjoy seeing my progress and how far I've come. If you ever want to try a gym out, I recommend EOS. They offer a low-price membership with great equipment!

Through hiking and working out, learning to take care of my body and mind has become important. These activities paint a picture of who I am: someone who values balance, perseverance, and self-improvement. I hope you too can push yourself out of your comfort zone and try it out!

  1. Hello Daisy, I love both of your hobbies! I enjoy going on hikes I wish I could go on more. I don't really have anyone to go with me, so it limits me because my parents won't let me go if I'm by myself. I hope in the future when I have someone to go with that, I can check out the Thunderbird Conservation Park as it seems like it would be fun and there's multiple different trails on it. I can see why it's your go-to hike. As for the gym I regularly go it as well helps with my confidence and physical health. They are both honestly great ways to clear the mind and forget about everything like you said.

  2. Hey Daisy, great job organizing your blog; it is very engaging. I personally don't go hiking, but working out is something I also enjoy. Honestly, your blog makes me want to go hiking. It's very inspiring. What are your tips for beginner hikers? Additionally, I appreciate how you chose to include pictures taken by you; it shows how your blog is relatable while maintaining a professional yet casual tone for the audience.

  3. Good job of establishing a point/purpose in this blog and balancing the casual and professional. Maybe I will see you on Thunderbird some day; it's a regular in my hiking circuit as well.
