Welcome everyone! Today, I will be describing my experience with a LifeSaver! I go to open the package of a lifesaver mint, it crinkles just enough to announce its arrival—a soft, playful sound that makes anyone nearby glance curiously. It feels smooth and light in my hand, like holding a tiny, delicate treasure. Peeking inside, each piece resembles a miniature powdered-sugar donut, perfect and inviting.
I pop one into my mouth, and almost instantly, a crisp, bracing chill runs across my tongue. It’s sharp, clean, and bold. There’s a gentle sweetness riding along with the rush. It twirls like a tiny dancer around my mouth. Slowly, it melts into a fine speck of white dust, leaving behind a trace of crisp, fleeting energy.
The taste sparks memories of first dates, the anxious thrill before a big interview, and small moments of anticipation that now taste sweetly familiar. By the time it’s gone, its sparkle lingers, a gentle whisper of joy in my mouth. Thankfully, this Lifesaver has saved me many times from bad breath!
Hey Daisy I really loved your blog entry. You chose to do the same mint as me which I don't blame you for. Lifesavers are definitely the easiest to carry around. I like how you described it life a donut because it is shaped like one. Loved this post! -Nick Standifer
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to not using the word mint or telling us which brand you were describing here?!
ReplyDeleteYou've got a good start with your sensory details and have added some personification as well which brings the mint and your post to life.
